I don't have any technical knowledge, can I still enroll in this course?
Yes, you can. We believe privacy is a basic human right that should be available to anyone. We made this course so that even our grandmothers could be following it!
When I DeGoogle my phone, will I still be able to use my favorite apps?
You will. In the course we will explain what the different implications will be for using different kind of apps. We will, for example, highly discourage you to use an app like Whatsapp or Facebook. But, if there’s really no other option (on another phone for example), we will still offer the option to use it in the most privately friendly way possible. And, on the other hand, we will still highly encourage you to get used to using alternatives.
I have an iPhone, can I still follow this course?
The first section of the course will be a general one, focusing on the privacy flaws we have on the internet in general. The rest of the course will be specifically for Android phone. The thing with iPhones is that the software is not as editable as much as Android, so there is a lot less you can do. What you can do, however, is purchase a cheap Android phone with great specs (like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro). You can then rebuild this phone and use this one for the maximum amount of privacy. You then have a choice to make.

I want to buy a new but affordable phone to DeGoogle it, which one should I get?
We at Android-Privacy.com we like the Xiaomi Redmi note 8/9, because of it’s great specs for a really low price. This low price mostly comes from all the bloatware that comes pre-installed on it, but we are going to get rid of that anyway 😉
I can just install a custom rom and then I'm done right?
No! This is a big mistake a lot of people make. Just installing a private rom will get rid of Google’s Android, but you’re still far away from the most privacy friendly setup (also see section 2 of the course).
How long is section 3?
Section 3 itself is 2 hours of video material. The rebuilding will probably take 3 hours for a more technical person and 4/5 hours for a less technical person.
How much time do I save?

Ik ben erg blij met mijn Snowdenphone. Moest best even wennen in het begin, maar er is veel informatie beschikbaar via de portal met filmpjes en gebruiksaanwijzingen. De ondersteuning is verder ook top,vragen worden snel en kundig beantwoord. Een absolute aanrader de Snowden phone van proprivacy.io!

zeer duidelijk
Alles dat wordt uitgelegd in deze cursus is zeer duidelijk verteld. Op het punt van uitleg edge wallet mag meer verduidelijkt worden. Hoe sla je iets op bv, wat is een passwordmanager en waar vind je die en hoe werkt het??

Ik vond het echt goed , super.
Gelijk ook nog een tablet besteld, prettig werken / filmpjes kijken.
Wel in het algemeen heeft de smartphone een veel te grote impact ( verslavend) minder gebruik geeft mij meer vrijheid !!! ( en privacy😉)

Fantastische service maakt dat mijn Snowden telefoon héél goed en veilig werkt !
Ik kan iedereen de zeer goed beveiligde smart phone aanraden ! Het is in het begin omschakelen van de Iphone, vanwege meerdere omgevingen op de telefoon naar een Android omgeving. Nadat mijn defecte accu snel werd vervangen samen gezeten met Ernad om de mobiel goed in te richten en de nodige apps toe te voegen. Ook zijn de online handleidingen erg goed en duidelijk, naast het privacy platform !

Heel boeiend, veel bijgeleerd.
Eerst het webinar, dan onmiddellijk de cursus er achteraan gedaan. Mijn interesse is gewekt. Ik wil trouwens ook een telefoon kopen. Prive doe ik het meeste nu op een ipad en een macbook. En gmail. Ikwil graag af van google, tzt ook van mijn gmail. Maar dan moet ik wel een bigtech vrij alternatief vinden.
